TW : painter in acrylics
Potteries born Terry Woolliscroft works from his studio in the Staffordshire Moorlands.
He draws inspiration from the rather special landscape of the Potteries of North Staffordshire, and is influenced by local artists Reginald Haggar, Jiri Borsky and Maurice Wade. He also enjoys painting seascapes and still life.
His work can be seen on line and in local galleries. He was privileged to have a solo show at The Foxlowe Art Centre, Leek in 2018, and was selected for the Three Counties Open Art Exhibition, Burslem, in 2019. He also currently has paintings on show at The Flying Ducks Gallery, Stone, Staffordshire.
What people say
It's lovely to receive feedback from the people who have bought my paintings. Here are a few quotes:
"Happy is not the word. I’m so excited and can’t stop looking at it. It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for. A modern twist on the industrial history of the area. ... my perfect vision of my industrial roots in a city I love. It will be loved for many years to come"
"I love this canvas. As a 'Stokie' living away from home it really does bring a bit of my heritage into my house. Really good quality, looks amazing and I shall buy more from you again."
J H, London
"Absolutely love this painting. It's even better in the flesh than on screen. I saw it posted on twitter and bought it within a minute - the proportions and colour balance are spot on."
